YOUTH DANCE PROGRAM

Introducing your kids to a dance program can help them in many ways. Dance improves flexibility, coordination, balance, range of motion, stamina, muscle tone, strength and posture, to name a few! At a dance class, children learn mainly through physical and sensory experiences. For children, verbal language and movement are intertwined. This type of learning helps young children develop knowledge, skill and understanding about the world. Children strengthen their cognitive abilities and memory skills through learning the choreography in class! Many benefits can be taken away from a dance program. Here at PC Fit Body, our dance program offers all of these and much more. We offer a space for your children to express their personality and create art!

Mommy & Me COMING SOON

Mommy & Me is for children, ages 18 months - 2.5 years old and their guardian. Get ready to move and play with your little ones! This 30 minute class is an introduction to the world of movement and music for your tiniest dancers building coordination and motor skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. At Palma Ceia Fit Body, the teachers encourage creativity, rhythm, balance and listening skills in a fun and easy environment.

Creative Movement
Mondays 4:15-4:45pm

Creative Movement is for children in preschool, ages 3-4 years old. This class builds the basic conditioning, flexibility, and knowledge for young dancers to be ready to grow into all dance styles. The focus is on creative movement which helps young minds develop musicality. Children will learn to control their bodies as well as focus in a way that will help them in all aspects of learning, even outside the dance studio.

Youth Hip Hop I
Monday's 6-7pm

Youth Hip Hop I is for kids 6-9 years old. These high-energy classes infuse the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping and locking according to the level. Classes will encourage dancers to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, each class level includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare the dancers for more intense movements.

Jazz I
Wednesday's from 6-7pm

Youth Jazz Level I is offered to dancers 6-9 years old. Here they will learn the basic jazz steps and begin to develop balance, flexibility and transfer of weight required for more intricate steps in the higher levels. Jazz dance is comprised of bold, dramatic, and rhythmic movements. Class begins with extensive warm-up and stretching working to increase one's flexibility. Technique on leaps, turns, and stylized movement are worked on to upbeat current music.
